Enjoy a comfortable stay at this welcoming cottage in St Dogmaels, just over 1 mile from Cardigan in West Wales. Up to six guests can stay at the three-bedroom holiday home, which also welcomes one dog with open paws. Stroll down to the river or pick up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which begins or ends here, depending on which direction you are walking. Explore the village, with its shops and pubs, and plan days out to nearby beaches. Return home to enjoy a cup of tea and a tasty Welsh cake out in the courtyard garden.
Let yourself into the holiday home and follow the hall into the comfortable lounge. Gather in here to watch TV or a DVD or play games together. Make your way into the open-plan kitchen/diner to cook up hearty breakfasts to set you all up for the day or delicious dinners to linger over together later on. Climb the stairs up to the first floor where a king-size bedroom, a bunk bedroom and the family bathroom are situated. Follow narrow cottage-style stairs to the floor above, where a bright twin room, with some restricted head height, is located. Relax out in the courtyard garden on fine days and use the space to store your bikes and other outdoor gear. Parking is on the road 20m away, subject to availability, but you can unload in front of the cottage and a permit for extra parking in a car park 90m away comes with the cottage.
Head into Cardigan to shop, dine out and visit the castle. Pick up a 6m-long walking or cycling route from here to Cilgerran, where you can see another castle and also canoe on the river. Walk or drive 2 miles to the beach at Poppit Sands to swim and surf.
