They also offer 'SUP' or Stand Up Paddle boarding adventures, an amazing way to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline from the water. Growing in popularity, stand up paddle boarding is a relaxing and fun way to exercise on the water and explore hidden gems along the coast.

Haven Sports and Seaweed Surf Shop - year of adventureBased at Broad Haven, near Haverfordwest, where the safe and gently shelving sandy beach presents ideal conditions, Haven Sports is an R.Y.A. - recognised teaching centre running courses for all ages and abilities in windsurfing and surfing. Also on offer are watersports weekends and multi-activity days. A comprehensive range of watersports clothing and equipment is available for sale or hire from the Haven Sports shop, with a similar selection (for sale only) at the company’s Seaweed Surfshop in Quay Street, Haverfordwest.

Tenby Fishing

If you fancy just a short one and a half hour mackerel trip then hop aboard the 'Summertime'. However, if you have more time to relax then a four hour deep-sea fishing trip onboard the 'Dianne' is called for. All tackle is included in the price.

Trips include the Ramsey Island Adventure, guided walks on Ramsey, Thousand Island Adventure, Whale and Dolphin watching, evening Puffin and Shearwater trips and fishing trips.

Newsurf

Newsurf - year of adventureNewsurf, based in Newgale, is a family run business set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Newgale provides the ideal location for watersports; there is always plenty of space on the long, two-mile stretch of flat sand and whilst the Atlantic Ocean rollers ensure exciting surf, it is a safe beach for the young and not so expert. The beach has been awarded a European blue Flag, guaranteeing the cleanliness of the water. Newgale is easy to find, midway between Haverfordwest and St Davids, on the main A487 road. There is a cafe at both ends of the beach and The Duke Of Edinburgh Inn is next to Newsurf on the sea front. Newsurf can provide a wide selection of all surf equipment and accessories for hire to accompany an instruction course. Surf instruction is is provided, with courses available all year round and daily classes during the school holidays. The courses are suitable for complete novices but improver courses are also available. Each course is usually half a day and includes a wetsuit and board.

Big Blue Kitesurfing

Based at Newgale in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Big Blue aims to offer the best introduction to, and progression through all aspects of kitesports. Llyn Carfan

Llyn Carfan - year of adventureSaid to be the first fishery to introduce carp into Pembrokeshire (it’s right on the border with Carmarthenshire) the original lake has been joined by a further increasing total surface area to close on 3 acres. Several varieties are present and include commons leathers and grass carp many to 30lbs. Well off the beaten track far away from traffic noise nosy day-trippers and other pollutants both lakes have well-manicured open banks with easy access. Although there are no fixed pegs visitors will find this more of an asset than otherwise and there is the additional facility of being able to take your car almost to the waters edge nearly all around the main lake.

Pembrokeshire Anglers

Pembrokeshire Anglers - year of adventureThe Pembrokeshire Anglers Association is a long established association that owns and leases approximately 15 miles of prime fishing on the western Cleddau River and its tributaries. The PAA's water stretch from the fast flowing upper reaches to the tidal areas above Haverfordwest. The main river, renowned for its excellent run of migratory fish, offers the visiting and local angler a vast choice of conditions and productive pools in some truly unspoilt natural surroundings. Indeed, the whole Cleddau catchment area has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is host to a wide variety of wildlife, including otters, kingfishers, herons, ducks and dragonflies

Yet-Y-Gors Fishery

Yet-Y-Gors Fishery - year of adventureQuality Coarse and Trout Fishing set in Manorowen, Fishguard. Offering a basic tackle shop and tackle hire, refreshments, family fun, a trout pool (away from the main lakes), tuition and easy access to all lakes. Pete and Jayne Mclean welcome you to beautiful Yet-Y-Gors, offering you the chance to fish two mixed coarse lakes with Carp to 25lbs; Trout lake (fly only) with Blues, Rainbows and Browns. Average stock size over 2lbs plus double figure fish and a separate catch and release fly only lake.
