The FBM Holidays sponsored TenFoot Swim is a popular local swimming event seeing competitors swim from Tenby to Saundersfoot!
The TenFoot Swim is an event in which competitors complete a 5km sea swimming course from Tenby’s North Beach to Saundersfoot’s main beach with a half way point at Monkstone Beach where they leave the water for a mandatory safety check and much needed feed station.
The TenFoot Swim was founded by the TenFoot Committee in 2017 and has since met the demand of competitors who wanted to complete additional race elements.
As a result the TenFoot Swim/Run was created. Swim/running is a race comprised of both swimming and running and is one of the fastest growing extreme endurance sports in Europe. Competitors swim sections of the course and run sections of others non stop, without transitions or changes of kit on a course between Tenby and Saundersfoot.
The course is a distance of roughly 10km, made up of 4km of swimming and 6km running split into 3 swim and 3 run sections, the event will be running alongside and at the same time as the TenFoot Swim.
The next TenFoot Swim & TenFoot Swim/Run will take place on 3rd July 2021
The FootStep Run is a mass participation event organised by the community.
There are two separate races with routes which take competitors along the Saundersfoot to Stepaside trail – they head up The Strand and onwards through the old railway tunnels along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline.
Fancy dress is optional and prizes will be on offer for the best attired individuals and teams.
The first race is for children and is a ½ mile traffic-free children’s race (Under 12s).
For children 12-14yrs and adults 14+ there is a choice of three separate distances of 1, 3 and 5 Miles.
The next FootStep Run will take place on 2nd July 2021
Entry for the TenFoot events is strictly via the online booking system with no on the day booking. Entries are limited so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
