Carmarthenshire

The long stretch of Pendine sands are well known for the land speed record attempt by Malcolm Campbell back in 1924 and more recently by the actor Idris Elba in May 2015 who smashed the record by hitting 180.36 mph. There are a good choice of eateries in Pendine, The Barnacle Beach Café, The Point Café, The Contented Sole and Springwell Inn. For the more energetic The Morfa Bay Adventure Centre is a great day out with numerous activities for all the family to enjoy.
