Self-catering holiday cottages in Llangain

The parish of Llangain is situated near the bank of the Afon Tywi, in West Carmarthenshire, and boasts beautiful countryside, with gentle hills and stretches of woodlands. The region of West Wales is considered to be one of the best for rural walking and hiking, as well as being blessed with a variety of coastal villages along Carmarthen Bay. Found just 8 miles from the town of Carmarthen, Llangain is just west of the River Towy. Sitting between Johnstown and the coastal hotspot of Llansteffan, Llangain is also a nearby base for notable villages of Laugharne and Pendine, both of which are steeped in their own individual histories and cultures. Laugharne, an estuary town, was made famous by a visiting Dylan Thomas, who fell in love with the place in 1934 and who lived at The Boathouse with his wife Caitlin; his writing shed is a now-famous landmark.

We have a wide range of Llangain holiday cottages that offer the perfect base from which to explore this fantastic parish in West Wales. Choose from romantic boltholes, family-friendly cottages, big group properties and even dog-friendly holiday cottages too. Take a look at our full collection of Llangain holiday cottages above and start planning your next getaway to West Wales.
