The Visit Wales grade is a stamp of excellence and your property will be awarded a star-rating based on the quality and offering to the customer. As an accredited agency for the National body, all of the Pembrokeshire holiday homes, cottages and holiday apartments on the FBM portfolio have to be graded to a certain standard.

There are other national assessing bodies such as Visit England, Visit Scotland and the AA, and they are all governed by different organisations, however, they are all graded to the same standards and awarded a star rating from 1 to 5 (★ to ★★★★★) stars.
Visit Wales is the premier assessing agency for accommodation in Wales, checking out over 5000 places every year. The Quality Wales team of professional assessors normally visit each property on a biennial basis to award or re-evaluate a star rating.
A grading from Visit Wales will give your potential customers confidence. The higher the grading, the better the chances of booking. This is why at FBM Holidays, we only take on properties that grade ★★★ and above. This gives the consumer confidence and keeps standards high.
Introduced in 2008 in its current form, each star rating has a different grading definition.
Good. Offers a good level of quality and comfort.
Excellent. Offers an excellent standard throughout.
Exceptional. Offers an exceptional standard with a degree of luxury.
No, not necessarily. Many of the lower star rated accommodations still offer high quality but do not meet all of the facility and service expectations for the higher star ratings.
The grading is based not just on what the property looks like or its views for example, but also what kind of comfort level it offers, what facilities it has and how it can serve the expectations of the guest.
The first Visit Wales inspection must be conducted within 6 months of your property becoming part of our portfolio.
In the meantime, we will apply an interim grading, based on the standard Visit Wales criteria and using our best assessment of your property.
We can arrange Visit Wales inspections on your behalf, and we can obtain substantial discounts for you by dealing with Visit Wales directly, as an accredited agency.
If you elect for us to arrange the inspections on your behalf, Visit Wales will carry out their inspection bi-annually and we will conduct regular FBM Holidays inspections also, free of charge, as an ongoing measure, but also in the intervening year to ensure standards remain high.
If you prefer to arrange Visit Wales inspections privately, they must be carried out annually.
