Pembroke Castle Events
A true wonder of Wales and known as the birthplace of Henry VII, Pembroke Castle is idyllically set on the banks of the Pembroke river estuary. This mighty fortress is steeped in British history. Unlike many of castles in other parts of Wales, many of Pembrokeshire's castles are still intact as Pembrokeshire was not invaded like other counties, however, Pembroke's castle is and remains probably the most spectacular of all castles in the area.
A visit to the castle itself is a treat unlike much else the county has to offer. Once the seat of a succession of major barons, Pembroke Castle has often had a leading role in shaping Britain's history. You are able to explore the labyrinth of passageways and towers and take in the views from the 75ft high Great Keep.
