This is simply a hidden gem, set right on the beach in a beautiful seaside village, alongside a couple of similar properties, there is a real Scandinavian feel to this magical location.

This lovely Scandinavian-style cabin sits right on the beach in Llansteffan. Set next to its sister property, it sleeps four people across two bedrooms and welcomes one canine companion – making it the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who want to experience beachfront living in beautiful Carmarthenshire. Spend your days strolling the sands or exploring the castle, and your evenings BBQ-ing on the beach with your loved ones.

Step inside and you’ll discover a fresh and funky open-plan living room/kitchen/diner that’s bathed in natural light. Make yourself at home in the stylish kitchen and cook up a feast for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat in the dining area, where you can enjoy sea glimpses. Alternatively, head out to the decked area to the rear of the property, fire-up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, sink into a sofa in the living area and chat with your nearest and dearest in front of the wood burner. At the end of the day, there are two bedrooms to choose from – one master and one with bunk beds. In the morning, kick off your day in Carmarthenshire with a freshly-brewed coffee on the pretty decked area to the front of the property.

Spend your days rambling along the soft sands of Llansteffan beach – it’s right on your doorstep. Make sure you take the opportunity to head up to the castle ruins that overlook the beach and climb the one remaining tower – the views of the beach and estuary from the top are wonderful. Nature-lovers will adore an afternoon at the National Botanic Garden of Wales (16 miles), while culture-vultures will be fired-up to visit nearby Laugharne (12.5 miles), which is renowned for the writings of its most famous resident, Dylan Thomas.

Fabulous location, quiet and relaxing. Everyone was very friendly and would stop for a chat. Walking alongside the estuary every day was a pleasure. Listening to Egrets, Oystercatchers as well as ducks was wonderful. The cottage was comfortable for 2 people, but certainly not for more.

This lovely cottage is located at the end of the causeway a stones throw from the estuary and beach in a select collection of other seaside properties. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nature. At the end of the beach there is a playground, cafe, ice cream and fish and chips. Always a good incentive to get the kids out time and time again. A unique, wonderful setting away from it all. Great to be able to walk to the beach just after waking up. It is a well insulated cabin and has a Scandinavian vibe about the locality. You need to visit Carmarthen for supplies as the village is very small. Perfect location for pottering about and being a million miles away from urban life!
