  • Attractive courtyard cottage in a former woollen mill, with pretty garden and steam in an idyllic village location
  • Walk to the local pub and shop, take scenic walking routes from your doorstep, or join the breath-taking coastal path
  • Visit Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn or head to the coast to Aberporth and New Quay for activities and cultural delights
Property code: 79198

Stylish converted mill full of period features, set in delightful gardens with stream. Perfect spot to retreat and relax, or to get active exploring the countryside and coast with all its attractions.

Step back in a time with a stay at this three-storey, Welsh cottage which was once part of a woollen mill. Now beautifully converted, the three-bedroom property, close to Newcastle Emlyn, 11 miles from Cardigan, sleeps four guests. Explore the surrounding area with its many historic sites and enchanting beauty spots. Head to Aberporth, 9 miles away, to go to the beach, take trips out on the water and follow scenic, coastal walks.

Wander into this enticing property to find bright accommodation with an abundance of character. Make your way into the lounge to settle down in front of the Smart TV/DVD, read for a while or discuss your exciting day. Prepare hearty holiday feasts in the kitchen/diner, where you can all gather round the table. Climb up to the first floor to find a double bedroom and a single room. A generous twin room, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a super-king-size if required, is on the second floor. All the bedrooms share the family shower room. Take your meals out in the fresh air on your private patio. Explore the shared grounds and find you have parking for one car with the cottage. Unfortunately, because there is a stream in the grounds, and this cottage has an open-tread staircase, this property is not suitable for children under four.

Learn more about the history of the area at the National Wool Museum, 4 miles away. Make a trip to see Ffynone Waterfall, 6.5 miles from the cottage. Follow a circular 4-mile walk through beautiful woodland while you are here. Head into Cardigan to go shopping, dine out and see the castle. Attempt a stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the town to take in magnificent scenery and see if you can spot dolphins in the water.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 super-king-size on the second floor and 1 single
  • 1 shower room with double sized shower & WC
  • Electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine
  • Oil central heating throughout included
  • Bed linen and towels included
  • Smart TV/DVD in lounge
  • Private parking for 1 car only
  • Additional off-site private car parking is available at a charge of £15 per stay (collected on arrival)
  • Beach 11 miles, pub and shop within walking distance
  • Regret no children under 4 years old (due to open staircase to the first and second floor bedrooms and stream within the grounds of the garden)
  • This property will be decorated for Christmas
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00 unless otherwise stated in your arrival details

Nicely renovated cottage, we really enjoyed our stay. Clear instructions on getting there. Especially regarding the bridge access which was very tight but do able. Very attentive friendly owners. Had a lovely stay a great base to see some beautiful parts of the Welsh coast.
