A superb, semi-detached barn conversion close to the Gower coast, offering sandy beaches galore, picturesque villages and a warming wood burner to return to after a day of exploration.

Surrounded by luscious countryside and just 2.5 miles from the beach, this cosy barn is the perfect romantic bolthole. Whether you are looking for a peaceful getaway by the sea or an active holiday, you needn’t travel far. Situated in Gower, the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are endless picturesque walks to embark on with your loved one. After exploring the area, snuggle up by the glowing wood burner in the colder months, or enjoy the summer warmth by dining alfresco in the garden.

Feel a sense of spaciousness as you enter into this charming, open-plan barn with its exposed beams and a double-height ceiling. Keep warm by the wood burner as you watch a film on the TV. Prepare romantic meals for two in the compact kitchen which you can enjoy at the breakfast bar or outside on the patio. Also on the ground floor is the cosy bedroom and the shower room for staying refreshed after a coastal walk. Relax with a book on the mezzanine level, which is accessed via a ladder and has restricted head height. Fire up the BBQ and spend the afternoon in the garden looking out to the fields beyond.

Wander 2.5 miles to Three Cliffs Bay - a beautiful sandy cove perfect for picnics and a dip in the ocean. There is plenty to see in the area, from the Stepping Stones to the views of wild ponies grazing from Pennard Castle. Other beaches include Oxwich Bay, which is 5 miles away, or you can indulge in a meal out in Mumbles (9 miles) before strolling along the pier or along the Gower Coast Path. If you fancy a day out shopping, Swansea is just 8 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
