Thoughtfully renovated with plenty of small touches throughout, this charming cottage is a hidden gem in rural Wales. Sleeping four guests and two dogs, the property offers a wonderful space in which to unwind come rain or shine. A generous outdoor space with luxury touches makes it the ideal spot for summer months, whilst a cosy interior with all the mod-cons suits stays in the winter. Located in a courtyard with an additional property available to rent, the accommodation is ideal for those travelling with two extra holidaymakers.

Traditional throughout with exposed stone walls, slanted ceilings and original oak beams, the decor offers a fantastic reminder of your rural location. Step inside to discover a hearty open-plan living area where all can come together. A cushy L-shaped sofa invites you to spend lazy evenings lounging in front of the Smart TV, whilst the kitchen comes equipped with a welcome pack filled with local goodies. Two bright and cheerful bedrooms can be found upstairs. From the kitchen, head outside to discover an enclosed patio that’s entirely private. Here, you’ll find a hot tub, charcoal BBQ and a pizza oven, great for spending evenings in the sunshine and relaxing alfresco.

Just a short drive takes you to the beautiful Welsh coastline, with the Cardigan Bay and pretty spots like New Quay (14.5 miles) within easy reach. Embrace a day on the beach at Aberaeron (16 miles) where swimming and sunbathing on shingle shores are both on offer, along with the option of fishing or bird watching. Connecting you closely to two of Wales’ most wonderful national parks, the Pembrokeshire Coast (25 miles) and the Brecon Beacons (26 miles) are both just a car journey away and offer an abundance of walking, hiking and cycling routes to explore.

Absolutely lovely. Very clean. Little extra touches were helpful. Milk, BBQ stuff, wine, bread, butter etc... Bed super comfy, very peaceful. Beautiful area. Fenced in large dog walking area. Good relaxing space. John, the host, was very nice and helpful. We hope to return soon!

Lovely hot tub with great views and a great little sub trap. The property is nice on the inside, nothing fancy but comfy and practical, with super comfy beds and a great shower. There is an interconnecting door to another property in the living room, which did unsettle our dog and was quite noisy when people were coming and going. We've just got back from spending a week at the stables. What a wonderful holiday, our hosts were lovely! Put the kettle and heating on for us before we arrived as I'd gotten lost. We were provided with a wonderful gift basket full of the essentials and some goodies too. Outside there is a storage box with beds, bowls and towels for the dogs. The 4Read more acre secure field for the dogs was brilliant, perfect for a good run around. The cottage itself was wonderful! I wish I had more space to write. Hide

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Excellent cottage. Hot tub and outside area amazing. Very clean and well kept indoor space. It was heart warming to receive some welcoming gifts. Owners were cheery and pleasant and very obliging.

A very clean and well presented cottage in a very peaceful location. Loved the hot tub. An added bonus of a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer which aren't mentioned on the website. Reasonable close to the coast and beaches. Surrounded by lovely countryside. A lovely welcome hamper too!

This property is perhaps one of my all time favourites Ive stayed at. The cottage is set in gorgeous welsh countryside, with a lovely hot tub and cosy settings within. Only 30 minute drive from an Aldi / Morrisons etc and a similar duration to the coast - new quay was a particular highlight! Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Clean and comfortable. Lovely welcome hamper with milk,butter eggs and more in it on arrival. The Stables is a little gem within the gorgeous countryside of Wales, only a half hour drive to pretty little coastal towns & beaches. Although in a lovely situation would suggest you take a sat nav as it is difficult to find without one. If planning on visiting beaches to walk the dog suggest checking tide times before booking as it makes a difference. However, there is a lovely big field next to the cottage for exercising the dog if you don't feel like driving. Beautiful location overlooking the beautiful welsh countryside. If you love peace, quiet and the countryside then this is the perfect place.
