Situated in a prime position on Castle Hill, this semi detached, Grade 11 listed Georgian building is divided into self contained holiday apartments and from the upper floors offers superb views over to Caldey Island from the front of the building and over to the North Bay from the rear. The cobbled lane at the front leads up to Castle Hill where the Tenby Museum can be found and visitors can enjoy the beautiful panoramic coastal views. There are two beaches in close proximity. The pretty Harbour and Castle beach are literally just a stones throw away. Visitors can take a boat trip over to the nearby monastic island of Caldey or maybe a fishing trip might suit. The flat itself was perfect for a couple for a weekend away! The big bay window is what sold us and the sea view was even better than expected! We actually stayed during storm Callum and we spent hours watching the waves and listening to the wind...have never been so relaxed!
The flat was lovely and amazing value for money, but the decor was a bit of a mish mash and could to with updating, and although the flat was cleaned to a high standard, simple things like light shades were covered in dust and cobwebs! However we were very impressed with the kitchen and cleaning supplies provided! But would've appreciated some bin bags since you have to remove your waste upon checking out...
As Tenby is so small I'm sure any holiday accommodation there is close to all amenities, but it is definitely a bonus here was often had to dash to the cafes and restaurants to escape the strong wind and rain!
Parking is not available but there is a multi storey carpark about a 10 minute walk away for £4 a day.

Amazing location. Especially liked the reclining chairs in the bay window.

Glad you like St Catherine's. Sorry about the cold welcome. Unfortunately, St Catherine's does not have central heating and it It is unsafe to put the electric heaters on while the apartment is unattended, so may not suit everyone in the winter months. The view is fab and it is very popular due to that.

5* LOCATION BUT DAMPNESS SPOILED IT
FBM Holidays response
Thanks for your feedback. St Catherine's rents very well and no-one has mentioned it being damp before and there have been no signs of it on property inspections. Having said that, we know there isn't any central heating there and in January and with wet weather, there could be an issue. No-one has mentioned it in February, but we will certainly have our property inspector check this. Carol

Nice flat, wonderful view! Minor issues have kept from being 5-star, broken chair in middle of small living room, also hoover not working. No centra heating. Otherwise you couldn't ask for nicer situation and characterful rooms.
FBM Holidays response
Thank you for your 4 star rating of St Catherines 2, Flat 3. We like it too and it is a very popular holiday flat, due to its fabulous view and great harbour location. There are just 2 weeks available between now and the end of September. We're sorry about the broken chair. The owner has just had delivery of new easy and dining chairs and a few other items to further improve the flat. The flat doesn't have central heating, but there is a fire in the lounge and we understand and an electric heater. We'll check on the vacuum with the cleaning company. Hope to welcome you again in the not too distant future. Carol

Lovely flat, excellent views would recommend this property for two person stay as long as you are prepared for two flights of stairs.

Osborne
A few issues with the flat - shower very very low pressure (more of a trickle); fridge door racks broken so difficult to stand up bottles/milk; cold living area when the outside temperature dropped; very warm in living room when sunny as none of the windows will open - they are painted shut. No dishwasher but no hand dish-washing utensils in the flat -brush, cloth, liquid etc. We obviously bought some but it would have been helpful to have had these things in the flat. That said, we love the views and the flat was comfortable other than these few issues.
FBM Holidays response
Thanks for your positive comments about FBM Holidays' customer service, Mr Osborne and your review of St Catherine's 2, Flat 3. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and we agree the views are amazing. We appreciate you letting us know about the shower and the windows - no-one has mentioned this before. We will speak to the owner and arrange for a handy-man and plumber to check these items. Hope to see you again next year. Carol
