This charming hobbit house, in the heart of the Welsh countryside, nestles in 65 acres of meadow and woodland, and provides comfortable open-plan living with panoramic views across the open valley.

Escape to this shepherd’s hut near Llandyfan, on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons, and soak up the scenery as you steam in your private hot tub. Sleeping two guests, this exquisite abode is set within the beautiful grounds of an equestrian centre and could be ideal for anyone who enjoys riding or wants to stable their horse or pony. Up to three four-legged friends are welcome to stay at the retreat, which is less than 5 miles from Llandeilo, and is also well positioned for cycling, mountain biking and walking.

Climb four steps up from the spacious decked area to find yourselves in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, with its welcoming country cream decor. Light the wood burner and settle in a chair to enjoy the heat as you gaze out across the rolling countryside. Prepare light meals in the kitchen area to enjoy inside or out and find you have your own shower room so you can enjoy a hot shower before heading off to the double bed. Wake to the magical vistas and on sunny days enjoy breakfast out in the fresh air. Fire up the hot tub, ready to enjoy after your excursions out, sizzle supper on the BBQ on fine evenings and gaze up at the night skies. Find parking for two cars at the holiday home.

Stroll down the pretty streets of Llandeilo, browsing in independent shops and pausing for something to eat in tea rooms and cafes. Visit nearby Dinefwr Castle, 5.5 miles from the shepherd’s hut, while you are here. Walk or drive 3 miles into the Brecon Beacons to see the splendid ruins of Carreg Cennen Castle, set high on a cliff. Venture 7 miles to the beautiful gardens at Aberglasney or 12 miles to see the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very minor things would have made stay perfect ie better light over the sink, microwave and some kitchen consumables, kitchen roll, foil and cling film. Loved the Christmas tree and decorations, bed really comfortable. We would love to visit again in the summer and make use of the outside area.
