Porthdy Gwas Y Neidr translates to Dragonfly Lodge, set close to the coast, you will have plenty to do on your holiday. If you are looking to explore the area on foot or two wheels, you are spoilt with surrounding countryside. Venture to New Quay, a popular seaside town with so much to see and do. Take a boat trip to spot the dolphins or go fishing. Explore the marine wildlife museum, try out one of the water sports on offer or simply enjoy a bite to eat at one of the pubs or restaurants. Head further afield to Aberystwyth, another popular seaside town with plenty or activities to enjoy. There is also nearby National Trust sites to visit including Llanerchaeron and the Dolaucothi Gold Mines.

Step inside this stylish yet cosy retreat into the studio-style lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. Relax in the lounge area after a long day of exploring on the comfy sofa, which folds out as a sofa bed, and watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV. Prepare a romantic meal in the kitchen area which is equipped with an induction hob, microwave/grill and a fridge. You can enjoy your resulting meal around the dining table whilst enjoying the views. When you’re ready for bed, retreat to the sleeping area and enjoy a good night’s rest in the double bed and wake up to the views over the lake. Completing the pod is the stylish shower room with shower and WC, perfect to refresh and get ready for the day ahead.

Heading outside, you will find yourself on a decked area, with a newly installed private 4 persons hot tub and gas BBQ. The perfect spot to relax or dine alfresco whilst enjoying the views over the lake. There is private off-road parking for one car next to the pod.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a stunningly relaxed time! The hosts were full of smiles, generous in their kindness and gave great tips for local walks , beaches and food. Recommended for those times to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and be one with nature, with a little luxury added in.

The little pod is prefect for a relaxing get away for the family, view of the lake in the morning is stunning to wake up to. The hot tub is a nice cool down after a walk round New Quay bay. At night the hot tub is prefect to sit in and watch the stars sparkle and see shooting stars. Our little family loved this get away and cant wait to go back.

The location is beautiful - peaceful, beautiful and close to Nee Quay and Aberaeron which make lovely day trips. The glamping pod itself is like a mini hotel room. Lovely little glamping set up. Great little pods with hot tubs. The field next to the pods was great for the dog to run around in. Very peaceful and tranquil. Extremely friendly owners. Myself and my partner had an amazing stay at pontfaen pods. The pod was comfortable and very clean and had lots of amenities. The hot tub was amazing and situated in a lovely location with amazing views. The location was perfect for us as it was a little out of the way and quiet, but there were plenty of places close by which were easy to access. ARead morendy and Claire were very helpful throughout our stay and recommended places for us to try and walks to go on. 10/10 stay! :) Hide

Really friendly hosts, pod was spacious and cosy. Equipped with everything you need! Spend most of the weekend in the hot tub. Only downside was we struggled to find a takeaway that delivered. We would 100% go back!!

I stayed in a pod with my dog and girlfriend for 4 nights. We all thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility as there was only one other pod next to the lake. The scenery was lovely to walk through. As vegans we found the local menus limited with usually just one item for us. We preferred to cook and eat at the pod, anyway, as the surroundings weRead morere so lovely. Most days started and ended in the lovely inflatable hot tub. Andy and Claire were wonderful hosts and the location was delightful, perfect for a getaway from the urban rat race. A lovely designed pod with a range of appliances matched with a gorgeous lake view on a spacious decking area. A blissful rest and relaxation in a truly beautiful part of the world.
