A Great Location Just Outside Tenby

Penally lies just west of the seaside holiday resort of Tenby, with the heart of the village, the 13th Century church St Nicholas and St Teilo. Teilo was a Christian leader in the 500s and is thought to have been born at Penally, offering a diverse history to the local area.

Most of our Penally cottages are centrally located and within easy reach of the village amenities, such as the village stores, friendly local pubs, and places to eat. The train station at Penally is conveniently located just off the village centre, as is the bus stop; both perfect options if you wish to leave your car and enjoy the county via public transport.

A level walk along the Tenby Golf Course takes you to Tenby’s beautiful South Beach and on to the coastal path at Giltar Point where you can enjoy spectacular coastal views taking in Tenby town, Caldey Island, St Margaret’s Island and Lydstep. In spring and summer, the clifftops are ablaze with brightly coloured wildflowers carpeting the cliff top walks and the cliffs become the summer home to many migrating birds.

Penally offers a fantastic rural retreat for families or couples looking for great cottage holidays in the picturesque surroundings of the Pembrokeshire coastline. With the chance to enjoy both stunning views over the sandy beaches of Tenby and walks through the tranquil beauty of the bordering landscape, Penally has it all. Encounter nature at its best, as you stroll in and out of the shaded woodland walks, cliff top walks through carpets of wild flowers and stroll amoungst sheep, cattle and horses quietly grazing the headlands overlooking the sea. For bird enthusiasts, enjoy a day exploring the rocky outcrops along the coastline to see some exquisite rare and wonderful sea birds. Discover the secrets of the past, and explore the ancient architectural features that are still standing in the village today.

If you enjoy a game of golf, pop along to Trefloyne Golf Course just on the edge of the village where you can enjoy a game of golf in delightful surroundings and afterward enjoy lunch or an evening meal in their fabulous restaurant.

A great location for young and old alike, Penally is perfect if you want a great holiday in a friendly village with beautiful walks and plenty to see and do.
