The perfect location to enjoy with family and friends, with the wonderful beaches and dramatic coastline all within a few minutes’ walk of the property.

The stylish apartment, in the coastal village of Burry Port, is just 100 metres from a gorgeous sandy beach. Nearby Pembrey Country Park (2.5 miles) has everything to entertain the whole family, including woodland trails, a dry ski slope and an 8-mile beach. Spend the day at the spectacular Gower Peninsula (17 miles), where you can lose yourself in its magic with a ramble across open moorland or a hike along the limestone clifftops, before returning to your private balcony with views of the dunes.

A shared staircase leads to this welcoming first-floor apartment. Once inside, leave your walking boots in the hallway and head into the spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. This bright and airy space is the real heart of the home and is a great place to come together, after a day of exploring, for delicious meals around the large dining table or to relax on the plump sofas in front of the Smart TV/DVD. The apartment is decorated in a contemporary style and features round porthole-style windows, adding a delightful nautical touch. From the lounge area, doors lead to your private balcony where you can unwind with a glass of wine and admire the peaceful views across the sand dunes to the beach beyond.

Pembrey Country Park, which links to Cefn Sidan Beach, makes a fabulous family day out. Explore the 550 acres of lush woodland, before whizzing down the exhilarating toboggan run or taking to the dry ski slope. The market town of Llanelli (6 miles) also has a lot to offer. Potter around the colourful botanic garden, go looking for flamingos at the Wetland Centre or enjoy a relaxing cycle ride along the Millennium Coastal Path. A stay in Burry Port wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Gower Peninsula, where you’ll find the magical Rhossili Bay and surfing hotspot of Llangennith.

We had a great time at Burry Port, the owners had made a real effort to make our stay an enjoyable one which was very much appreciated. We really enjoyed staying in this first floor apartment, with easy access to the Burry Port beach, just beyond the sand dunes (lovely soft golden sand). The apartment was well equipped and very clean. Burry Port is a quiet port town but still has a co-op, cafe, and several takeaways. Takes about an hour to get round to Rhosili on the Gower, or to FRead morereshwater West beach in the opposite direction, but the nearby beaches are also stunning. Hide
