Enjoy an enchanting stay at this magical cottage, nestled among the trees close to Ciliau Aeron, 3.5 miles from Aberaeron, in West Wales. Tucked away within the spellbinding Aeron Valley, the delightful stone property, once home to a clog maker, sleeps up to six guests and even welcomes a trio of delighted dogs along for the break. While away your afternoons on nearby sandy beaches, plan walks through the leafy woodland and bubble in the hot tub as you soak up the serenity of your surroundings.

Open the front door of this charming abode and find yourselves in an inviting, rustic-style dining room, with a stone floor and an old range. Take a step down into the kitchen to whip up wholesome meals on the modern, range-style cooker. The lounge is equally inviting, with its wood burner that can be stoked up on chilly evenings to create a cosy ambience. Watch TV and play games in here too. You also have a super-king-size bedroom on the ground floor. A double bedroom and a twin can be found up on the first floor, together with the family bathroom and a small, children’s den. Bask in the sunshine out in the gorgeous cottage garden. Explore the generous grounds, fire up the hot tub and watch the birds in the trees. Keep an eye on children and dogs near the river and take care driving on the lane, where you will also park, as it is not entirely level.

Head into Aberaeron to go to the beach or follow a section of the Wales Coast Path and keep an eye out for dolphins in the sea. Visit the National Trust’s Llanerchaeron House, 1.5 miles from the cottage; designed by architect John Nash, this also features walled gardens, a farm and a lake.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 1 double and 1 twin
  • 1 bathroom
  • Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine
  • Private hot tub and outside shower
  • Wood burner (first basket of logs included)
  • Rural property which you access by driving through a private lane, which is uneven in parts.
  • Ample off-road parking at end of private lane
  • Beach 3.5 miles at Aberaeron, pubs and shops 3 miles
  • TV in the lounge
  • Large gardens bordered by stream and woodland
  • Arrival: 14:30 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details

A really special holiday cottage in the woods. We loved our stay here and the location was brilliant - in the middle of nowhere but so accessible to the fabulous harbour at Aberaeron and lots of beautiful beaches. The beds were really comfortable, there was everything we needed in the kitchen and hot tub was used everyday by the whole family.
