Head to this exquisite barn close to Cwmdu, approximately 3 miles from the fringes of the magnificent Brecon Beacons and spend quality time with the special person in your life. Set on a smallholding in this scenic corner of Wales, the creatively converted stone building sleeps two adult guests and offers stylish, comfortable accommodation, with a private garden where you can relax, enjoy dinner in the fresh air and absorb the sweeping, rural vistas.

Wander into this enticing Welsh cottage and find yourselves in a bright, appealing kitchen/diner. Prepare mouthwatering meals for two then lay the table for a romantic meal in. Take a few steps up into the inviting lounge, with its underfloor heating, where you can unwind in front of a good film on TV. Choose a DVD to watch instead or play your favourite songs on the CD player. The king-size bedroom is up on the floor above, where a vaulted ceiling enhances the airy ambience. Take breakfast out in your private garden on spring and summer mornings, or cook supper out in the fresh air on the BBQ. There is storage for your bikes at the barn and off-road parking for one vehicle.

Hop on the saddle or pull on your hiking boots and head out for the day straight from the barn. Walk about 2 miles, for example, to see Talley Abbey, the ruins of a monastery, and to walk around the lakes here that are known for their wildlife. Those who are especially energetic might also like to plan a 5-mile walk to the picturesque Garn Goch Hill Fort, with its outlook over the Towy Valley. Also visit the attractive town of Llandeilo, 7 miles away, where you can amble down narrow streets and pause in fascinating shops, cafes and tearooms.

Super location with stunning views across the Beacons, every facility one could want for a peaceful escape from the rat race. Lots of great places to visit, a must would be the local pub.

Just perfect from the warm welcome to the extras to an amazing view , we will definitely be back . Cottage is a credit to Chris and Les in every way spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need , way off the beaten track (just as we like it) but I guess some may not like the single track lane having said that we only met 2 cars in the 2Read more weeks we were there so definitely not busy ! Plenty of places to visit and great walks ! We loved it and cant wait to return. Hide

Celyn Cottage was absolutely amazing, fully equipped with all that we would need, unlike many of the previous places we have stayed, everything had been thought of down the last detail. Incredibly stunning views from the cottage. Les and Cris, the owners, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. Cottage cosy and comfortable, home from home.

This is a really lovely and comfortable cottage. Equipped with everything you need..and more! Chris the owner has thought of everything and was most helpful and welcoming. It's a little out the way and up a bit of a rutted farm track..but you are rewarded with the fantastic far reaching views! We enjoyed the peace and quiet!

Celyn Cottage is quite wonderful: welcoming, comfortable, clean, practical in use and the Brecon Beacons view is simply unbeatable. Lovely owners. All the equipment was in good working order and the bed (very important) was excellent. The cottage is just close enough to the Brecon Beacons to get there fairly easily. Driving up the last 200m to the Read morecottage is a bit challenging (no tarmac but grit) and be aware that there are 2 cottages housed in the building. Nevertheless, highly recommended. Hide
