Purpose-built, one of a pair of stone cottages, located on the northern edge of the Gower peninsula in South Wales, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just six miles from The Mumbles with its Victorian pier and town.

Experience the best of both worlds in this striking stone cottage. Surrounded by 26 acres of fields and farmland on the edge of the Gower Peninsula, this is the perfect rural retreat. However, you’ll also be just 5 miles from the vibrant city of Swansea and 6 miles from the popular seaside resort of Mumbles. The cottage sleeps four guests, meaning it’s ideal for a small family or two couples. The cottage has an immaculate shared garden – a real sun trap – where you can sit to read a book or enjoy an al fresco lunch.

The elegant cottage is decorated in a contemporary style and is filled with natural light, thanks to large windows framing the lush Welsh countryside. At the heart of the home is the spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can unwind on the plump sofa or curl up in an armchair to watch the TV/DVD. On a summer’s day, throw open the double doors to let a gentle breeze flow through the cottage. After a busy day of sightseeing, rustle up a tasty meal in the stylish kitchen, to enjoy together around the dining table. Outside, a shared lawn wraps around the property. Fire up the BBQ to cook the tasty treats you’ve collected on your travels and spend a night of good food and great conversation under the stars.

Mumbles is full of Welsh seaside charm. Wander along the Victorian pier with a delicious locally made ice cream, potter around the cute boutiques and gift shops or embrace its history with a trip to Oystermouth Castle. Heading west into the Gower Peninsula, you’ll discover an unspoilt haven of ancient woodland, remote saltmarshes, hidden coves, and sandy beaches. The walk at Three Cliffs Bay is simply stunning and keen surfers must experience the waves at the iconic Rhossili Bay.

A lovely cottage in a great location. Clean and comfortable with fabulous views. For those actually wanting to do self catering it might be useful to know the fridge freezer and dishwasher are tiny not full sized. You can't fit a dinner plate in the dishwasher! Very nice property very well equipped. Good location with nearby shops and restaurants. Handy for exploring the Gower area with not too much driving. Friendly hosts who live next door and run the livery which gives the views of all the horses.

Lovely cottage, really comfortable. Good location, quiet and seemed rural, for example could see horses and chickens from the window, but still on the outskirts of a town and easy to get everywhere else.
