Tenby Boxing Day Swim 2015

The annual event held on Tenby’s iconic North Beach is already gearing up for a big day, despite being nearly a year away…

Although there are quite a few months to go, we thought there’s no better time to tell you about the annual Boxing Day Swim.

Last month, Hundreds of barmy bathers brought a ray of sunshine to a cold and wet Boxing Day by taking part in Tenby’s annual festive dip in the 2014 edition.

With the fancy dress theme of Pirates and Princesses, everyone took to the waves in right royal style to entertain the crowds on and around Tenby’s North Beach.

The legendary event, which celebrated its 44th year, is organised by the Tenby Sea Swimming Association (TSSA) and prides itself on always going ahead, whatever the weather.

TSSA chairman Chris Osborne:

“It was wet and cold and that was just for the spectators!”

So, If you think you’d be up for a chilly dip on December 26th, 2015 keep an eye out on the official Boxing Day Swim website for more details.
