Take advantage of our special offers on a stay in The Boathouse, a beautiful, scandi style holiday cottage in Tenby. This property is unique as it is suitable for a weekend or week away with friends or for a small family because it sleeps four people in two super king beds or two twins.
The interior is crisp and furnished to an excellent standard. Being able to have your own space is always something to consider when holidaying with friends or young children but this shouldn’t be an issue at The Boathouse. It is spacious, light and airy. The property also has two WC’s which contain a shower and bath/shower which means there won’t be a queue in the morning, and you can pack lightly as linen and towels are provided.
The garden and seating outside provide the perfect space for sipping wine and having a good natter or as a comfy spot from which you can keep an eye on your children playing. There is parking for two cars.
Importantly, the Boathouse is in an excellent location. If you run out of essentials, COOP is just a few minutes’ walk away, while the centre of town and the beach is just 10 minutes. It is in a quiet part of town with access straight onto roads into town or out into the rest of Pembrokeshire.
Things to Do
If you’re thinking of choosing The Boathouse for an easy-going holiday with your little ones, you’ll be located just a short drive from family attractions such as Heatherton, Manor House, Oakwood and Folly Farm and Zoo. The beaches in Tenby are well catered for families as there are lifeguards present throughout the summer and toilet facilities just on the shoreline. There are also often summer offers for children’s meals in the restaurants and cafes in town.
Alternatively, this cottage is perfect for a civilised girls or guys weekend or week away. A bit of healthy competition can be created on the crazy golf course and you challenge yourself in the escape room at Heatherton. Within Tenby itself there are two breweries, Harbwr Brewery and Tenby Brewing Co which you can visit. Additionally, the town has a fun nightlife and there are plenty of bars and pubs to choose from. Bar 10 and The Cove are great for cocktails, while the Buccaneer and The Lifeboat are just a couple of pubs used by locals. There are lots of great value eateries for relaxed suppers or brunch and coffee for those more leisurely mornings.
For families or groups of friends wanting to do something a bit active, there is water sports equipment available to hire on North Beach and a beautiful country ramble, which featured on BBC’s Weatherman Walking, starts just down the road off Scotsborough View road.
This gorgeous property is definitely worth a look if you’re considering taking a break from the stresses of everyday life. It provides the perfect base from which you can explore Pembrokeshire and still enjoy the hustle and bustle of Tenby.
