Romantic breaks to Pembrokeshire

Surprise your loved one this Valentine’s Day

When Christmas has come and gone, and we are in the depths of winter, and it seems like the summer months of warm sunny days are a long way off, there are still holidays and short breaks to look forward to. Very soon Valentine’s weekend will be here and spring just around the corner and Pembrokeshire is a wonderful location to take a romantic break with the one you love.

Why? Well we have golden sandy beaches galore for you to stroll hand in hand, take the beaches in Tenby for example, walk the length of the South Beach to Giltar Point and back, around 2 miles, then relax with a coffee in the nearby cafes. Or for the more adventurous take a hike over the fields at Stackpole to reach the award winning Barafundle Bay, recently voted the best beach in Europe, amongst its many other awards. Here you’ll probably have the beach all to yourselves but once there it’s truly stunning and you’ll understand why it’s won awards. Explore the romantic history at Pembroke Castle and discover the birthplace of Henry VII, followed by a walk around the Mill Pond. And after a day exploring the stunning countryside take a romantic meal in a rural countryside pub, relax in front of the fire and try one of the local ales.
Or if walking isn’t your thing why not treat your loved one to a Spa day? Try the Five Star St Brides Hotel in Saundersfoot. Sitting on the top of the cliff overlooking the bay, the hotel has an infinity pool and does a mean afternoon tea. The Hotel offers many spa packages and the food truly is award winning. If you want to buy that someone special a gift, try the local market town of Narberth which has an array of independent shops selling local products, while away the hours browsing in the shops windows, take lunch in Ultracomedia a local independent tapas bar where you’ll love the Spanish food.

Accommodation throughout Pembrokeshire is in abundance. You can choose from hotels to B&Bs or if you really want freedom of choice a self catering cottage or apartment might be the best choice for you. You can come and go as you please, choose the time you eat and where you eat (and you’ll be spoilt for choice). No one will interrupt you so if you want to stay in bed all day that’s up to you!

Choose from an apartment overlooking the sea to a cosy cottage buried deep in the Pembrokeshire Countryside, explore the 186 miles of coastal path or just sit back and relax in the comfort of your own place. For more information on our Valentine’s weekend breaks call 01834 844565.
