As part of our Team Celebration series, we are talking to some of the amazing team members at FBM Holidays to find out more about them, their jobs and their favourite things about West Wales.
Today we catch up with Louise Rozhon, a Holiday Property Consultant with over twenty years experience and a love for the coast, whatever the weather.
Name: Louise Rozhon
Specialist Area: Carmarthenshire
Key Areas: Laugharne, Kidwelly, Llansteffan, Carmarthen, Newcastle Emlyn, Cenarth, The Tywi Valley, Llandeilo and Llangadog
With over twenty years of experience in tourism and marketing in the area, Louise is evangelical about Carmarthenshire. With rolling hills, gorgeous coast and magical woodlands, she loves a walk with a view, preferably “followed by a Welshcake and a cuppa!”.
Her favourite place in Carmarthenshire is a tie between Laugharne and Llandeilo.
“I really enjoy a stroll along the castle walk to the boathouse in Laugharne, but then Llandeilo is just so lovely with lots of independent shops to browse around. Carmarthenshire is such a hidden gem, it really is difficult to have one favourite place”
As part of her job, Louise liaises with both property owners and tenants. Whether it’s helping to make a property more desirable to tenants, or welcoming tenants to their new home for the week, Louise is a dynamic people person, able to problem solve quickly whilst remaining personable and relaxed.
“I love meeting new people and finding ways to work together with them. I have met some amazing people throughout my career, some of which are now good friends.”
When she’s not at work, ‘ferrying around’ her daughters, or planning the next family adventure, Louise is most likely to be found at the beach, regardless of the season. Whether it’s a picnic in the sun or a stomp in wellies, the magic of the coast is always calling.
“We are so lucky to live close to the coastline and some amazing countryside, I never get bored of it”
Our guess is Louise’s husband, Richard’s favourite beach is Pendine, with 11km of golden sands and historically used for attempting land speed records. Because guess what? Richard has a Guinness World Land Speed Record of his own…in a milk float!
The best bit about the job for Louise is the people: “My favourite bit is when we get a new property and I can show the owners how simple it is to holiday let. People are always so relieved to find it’s not a gargantuan task, and that we are here to support them.”
Louise says her inspiration is her family:
“They have taught me to be grateful for health and happiness, and that possessions aren’t everything. The best times are the ones that cost nothing, like hearing my daughters giggle as they jump over the waves.”
If you have a holiday home or a second home with holiday let potential get in touch with Louise today for a no obligation chat.
