Long Course Weekend.

Love swimming? Love cycling? Love running?

Love swimming? Love cycling? Love running? Or are you mad enough to love all three? Well whatever floats your boat, have you thought of taking part in the Long Course Weekend? The weekend of the 8th, 9th and 10th July 2016 is when the event is being held. The 8th sees the Wales swim where you can choose between two distances – 1.2 or 2.4 miles to swim on the North Beach in Tenby. The Saturday is the Wales Sportive cycle where three distances are available, 42, 70 or for all of you mad people 112 miles, but you’ll take in some of the most stunning scenery Pembrokeshire has to offer. The Sunday is the final day of event – chose from the Wales marathon, half marathon or the Wales 10k. You can enter all the events or individually. Many of the Ironmen use this weekend as a training weekend for the Wales Ironman which is in September here in Tenby.
And the Long Course isn’t just for adults – children can enter Taff Kids which is an event held just before the swim on the Friday night so they can really enjoy the atmosphere and feel they are part in this popular event. It’s an event for the whole family to enjoy.
Even if this isn’t something you’d be interested in taking part in, it’s a real spectacle to watch, and you’ll be inspired by all the different athletes taking part. Tenby and the surrounding towns really enjoy hosting these events and there’s always a real buzz around the town and the atmosphere is great.
FBM Holidays still has a small amount of accommodation availability for this popular event, so whether you are taking part or just want to spectate and enjoy the attraction, call us today on 0183
