Breaks in Tenby

Perfect for that weekend get away

Whether it’s just a weekend break or your family summer holiday, a break to Tenby is just what the doctor ordered. If you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway then Tenby could be the answer. If you haven’t visited Tenby before it’s a walled seaside town in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, on the western side of Carmarthen Bay, and is also known as Dinbych Y Psygod, meaning little fortress of the fishes. In the heart of the town you’ll find Tudor Square and during the summer months the town becomes pedestrianized and this is when it really comes alive. As many of the local restaurants and bars create a café style culture and when the sun shines (which is does all the time in Pembrokeshire) you’ll almost feel like you are abroad.
The town is surrounded by four golden sandy beaches, North beach, South Beach, Harbour beach and Castle beach, many of which have won awards and been awarded the coveted blue flag status, as well as other awards like best beach in Europe. Probably the most famous is the harbour beach which is shown here, and this area is mostly widely used to show Tenby. Rumour has it there’s a picture of Tenby Harbour on a wall in a Japanese airport! The harbour is the hub of the town and is a real locals area, you’ll find many a Tenby fisherman telling his tales on a Sunday morning over a cup of tea from the harbour café, or the young Tenby children jumping off the pier. You can tell a local child, they are the ones not wearing wetsuits!
Accommodation throughout Tenby is plentiful, so whether it’s just the two of you looking for a weekend away or a family break, then our range of properties, from apartments with sea views to quaint terraced town houses, will suit all your needs.
