A small, quiet village nestled in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A predominantly quiet and peaceful area Sardis is a great place from which to explore the nearby Cleddau Estuary and the fishing village of Llangwm. Nearby are several woodland areas such as Wright Wood, Benton Wood and many more. If you’re a cycling or mountain biking enthusiast this is a great place to stay with many peaceful country roads bursting with flora and fauna.

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy in the surrounding area of Sardis. The closest being Rosemarket Golf Course (also known as Dawn Till Dusk Golf Course) which has 9 nine holes and hires out golf clubs if you do not happen to have your own. A challenging golf course that when played twice has all the attributes of a superb 18 hole course.

For those with an interest in history, gardening or perhaps both then a visit to Picton Castle and Gardens is a must. An unusual ancient building, appearing in design as half fortified manor house and half medieval castle. The 40 acres of gardens are equally as astounding with a woodland walk where you can stroll beneath some of the oldest trees in West Wales, discover numerous plants and flowers and also if your bringing the family then children will love the maze. You will also find an art gallery at Picton Castle which displays a varied range of work from local artists.

Sardis makes a great place to stay in Pembrokeshire as its not only near to some of the best outdoor attractions in the county but it’s also a short drive from towns such as Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Narbeth to which you can escape if the weather looks set to be anything less than sunny . In Narbeth you can enjoy shopping in boutique shops filled with traditional country brands, local arts and crafts, vintage jewellery and much more. Kids and adults alike will enjoy making a one of a kind souvenir at the Creative Café where you can paint your own pottery from mugs to vases and a variety of other things., and if you don’t fancy yourself as much of an artist then you can enjoy the work of others at the Golden Sheaf or Queens Hall galleries.

If you would like to have a romantic short break or a family holiday in this beautiful part of South West Wales then try FBM Holidays Milton Oak Cottage which sleeps up to four guests. Ideal for dog owners as nearby there is an abundance of walking opportunities your pets are sure to love. You will be sure to experience a true warm welcome as an information pack with leaflets, books and games are all left by the owners for you to enjoy and make the most out of your stay.
