Manorbier NewtonManorbier Newton is a quiet village located on the outskirts of the larger Manorbier and Jameston communities. A scenic area that has great access to local beaches and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. A perfect place to stay for those who like to be near the seaside but not far local amenities.
The nearest beach is Manorbier, just a short 5 minute drive away. The beach is popular with surfers and walkers alike as from this beach you can access a series of walks along the coastal path.
Also in the area is Manorbier Castle which has a superb position overlooking the beach. The impressive Great Hall, Chapel and Turrets are dotted with life size figures bringing history to life as you see children of the Tudor period and some prisoners in the dungeon.
After a long day on the beach, walking or surfing you can visit the stylish café at the castle to enjoy delicious light bites and refreshments. Locally made cakes and icecreams and freshly ground coffee are just some of whats on offer.
Before you leave, take a moment to sit in the walled gardens designed by Daphne Shackleton one of Irelands foremost plantswomen, and just soak up the wonderful atmosphere that time has passed by.
History buffs will enjoy not only the Castle but also the Neolithic period burial chamber or cromlech known as the Kings Quoit which can be found on the footpath on the hillside above Manorbier beach.
An area rich in farming you will also find Springfields, one of the few locations in the area you can visit to pick and pay for your own strawberries-a delicious day out!

It is just 5 miles from Tenby and a short walk from Manorbier Beach and the Pembrokeshire coastal path. It is well equipped with a real home from home feeling and is located just a few hundred yards from the village pub which serves excellent meals. The local shop is well stocked providing newspapers, fresh bread, fruit, veg and off-licence etc. Awel Deg has a fenced lawned garden, ample parking and is a pleasant alternative to a town property.
