Attractions around Dinas Dinas is a small village located just outside of Trellech in Carmarthen, South West Wales. Its surrounding countryside is an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is a short car ride to the Stunning scenery of the Pembrokeshire coast. Being quite remote, this area offers up a tranquil countryside holiday, allowing you to renew your senses with the sounds of nature. Go back to the historical Welsh past whilst you relish up the agricultural atmosphere, crammed welsh culture and heritage. Observe the rich wild flowers, and lustrous meadows, and journey through the many winding roads that lead you across vibrant fields into idyllic welsh villages. Main roads off the village can heighten your journey into larger towns such as Carmarthen. Here you can soak up Welsh History from its much loved industrial past, or take some time to marvel at the many shops that the town offers. It is also here that you can try out some exquisite Welsh cuisine, or try a dish with a difference with the many Italian and Chinese restaurants. “Oriental Garden” is located in Prior Street, and offers up a delightful banquet of Chinese sophistication.

Being in this superb location also enables you to travel to many other beautiful towns. Newcastle Emlyn is less than eight miles away, and is situated next to the glorious Teifi Valley. It is here that the enchanting steam railway operates, offering spectacular views of the Carmarthenshire landscape. Newcastle Emlyn also features an early medieval castle, and enjoyable walks along the Teifi River.

Its many shops enthral its visitors, and its town market provides a unique experience for anyone with an agricultural interest. For family days out, top the afternoon off with a delectable lunch in the one of many charming pubs that the town hosts. The “Bunch of Grapes” is a widely respected pub of the area, and greets you with a friendly manner providing good food, and refreshing beverages.

A little further North, in the village of Cenarth, the River Teifi provides some exceptional waterfalls, which cultivate the landscape and add to the stunning scenery.

For an exceptional day out whilst being in this area, head off for a countryside drive over the hills, and into the picturesque village of Fishguard. This is another historical town, with coastal see views, and seaside shops with lots to see and do. “Janes Fishguard” is an appealing little boutique within the town, combining crafts and coffee, to make one splendid afternoon out.

Fishguard is also an idea area for walkers, and for families and perfect for picnics. The village is also home to the ferry that can transport you into the town of Rosslare in Ireland.
