The historic market town of Newcastle Emlyn, an attractive lively town, is approximately 10 minutes drive away and offers a good selection of shops, restaurants, public houses, fine period architecture, a ruined castle and the National Wool Museum. Carmarthenshire is known as the 'Garden of Wales' with some of the most stunning scenery and is steeped in legends of King Arthur and Merlin the Magician. The county town of Carmarthen is a bustling place especially on market days (Saturdays and Wednesdays) and has a good variety of shops, restaurants and many other facilities. This area borders Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire so is an excellent base to explore the delights and local attractions of the three counties.
