Property Description
This comfortable, well-presented cottage is set in idyllic country surroundings, with chickens and ducks foraging in the fields nearby. The property is next door to the owner's house and they leave a welcome pack as well as an excellent variety of local information leaflets etc. plus games and books for your use. It is an ideal base for both the energetic walkers and cyclists among you or those of you who want to chill and soak up the perfect quietness, interrupted only by the song of the abundance of various birds in the area.
Ideal for dog owners with a choice of walks from the property, set in an extremely quiet, country lane, the owner's are happy to accept more than one dog as long as they are well behaved. It is also an ideal central base for those walkers seeking to walk the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal path. The property is approximately a mile from the picturesque hamlet of Burton, with two family pubs, The Stable Inn and The Jolly Sailor serving good food. Although the location is quiet it is only a couple of miles from the Haven waterway and Neyland Marina which is a safe location for watersports, sailing and wildlife expeditions, you can also join the cycle trail all the way to Haverfordwest with its wealth of shops, restaurants and a Castle.
There are a great choice of beaches in Pembrokeshire. Approximately 10 miles in one direction are Tenby and Saundersfoot both with pretty Harbours and long sandy beaches, and in the other direction, Milford Haven a working Port but also very busy with pleasure boats. There are castles galore and family attractions all within a few miles and to suit all tastes. If you fancy a visit to the Emerald Isle (Ireland) the ferry terminal is at Pembroke Dock, which is approximately 4 miles back over the Cleddau Bridge.
