Location

Lydstep Haven (known in ancient times as Lis Castell) is a village and beach holiday resort in Pembrokeshire, Wales, near Manorbier. The hamlet of Lydstep is separate from Lydstep Haven, lying just to the west of the beach and caravan park resort but the area is generally known as Lydstep Haven. It lies along the A4139 road, west by road from Tenby and Penally and west of Manorbier. It is a notable private holiday resort and has a beach which one can walk down the coast to from Manorbier.In ancient times the Kings of Dyfed and several Welsh saints have been connected with "Lis Castell"; Penally Abbey was located nearby.

The Lydstep hamlet contains the ruins of a Bishop's Palace visible from the road. Although called a palace, it is understood to have been the hunting seat of Lord St David in the early 14th century.

Tenby - 4.15 miles and takes about 8 mins.  Tenby has a variety of shops, with a selection of High street shops.  It has also has a very good selection of restaurants and pubs to suite all tastes.
Haverfordwest - 19.08 miles and takes about 36 mins, Haverfordwest has a large shopping centre with most of the supermarkets and many other high street shops, cinema and Castle.
Carmarthen - 30.38 miles, takes about 43 mins Carmarthen has a large shopping centre with most of the supermarkets and many of the other High Street shops, Multi screen cinema.
