Complete your visit with a walk around the medieval town walls and millpond, and from the opposite bank of the river, view the castle in all its splendour, surrounded by this peaceful stretch of water.
After exploring the castle, be sure to take a walk around the mill pond, which is divided in two by a railway embankment which was built in the 19th Century. Each section presents very different but interesting experiences with the eastern side being rich in flora and fauna and the western side lies in the heart of the medieval town ofPembroke.
Cosheston is also not far from some of Pembrokeshires most beautiful and scenic attractions. Barafundle Bay which is often referred to as the Jewel in the Crown is just a 20 minute drive from Cosheston and well worth the journey. With numerous awards including the Rural Seaside Award 2011 and Green Coast Award 2011 Barafundle is a must- see place to visit during your holiday in Pembrokeshire. The small bay backed by pine trees and sand dunes is only accessible by a half hour walk from the nearest car park.
