Broadmoor

Broadmoor is situated approximately 3.5 miles from the town of Saundersfoot, a bustling seaside hotspot. Broadmoor is a quiet village with few houses dotted around its countryside location which is part of the community of Jeffreyston.

Broadmoor has a long history linked with the coal mining industry as there are several past coal mining sites in this area. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits why not try the Miners Trail which is a historical walk that links a number of historic industrial sites as well as some of Pembrokeshire’s most beautiful scenery. The Miners Trail is 6 miles in length and starts from Kilgetty which is a 5 minute drive from Broadmoor.

For those who enjoy a relaxing holiday by the seaside, Broadmoor has excellent links to some of the best beaches in South West Wales. Waterwynch bay is situated between the resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby along the Coastal Path making it a popular choice with walkers. Due to its lack of facilities it is one of the quieter beaches in the county, however when the tide is out its possible to walk all the way to Tenby!

If you’re planning a visit to Tenby stop off in one of the many cafes, bistros and traditional pubs. The Bucaneer is a popular pub with both the locals and visitors alike and always has a bustling atmosphere. Enjoy hearty, filling dishes and fresh local seafood in the sunny beer garden-just beware the seagulls!

If you’re a watersports hobbyist, Tenby is a great place to enjoy the water. If you want to hire Jetskis, Motorboats, Kayaks or even take a ride on the infamous banana boat then Tenby Watersports hires out all this equipment. You can even take a guided Jet Ski Safari around Caldey Island (what better way to get up close and personal with the local wildlife).

At the end of your busy day, take a short drive back to Broadmoor for some peace and quiet and relax at The Annexe, which is in the nearby village of Pentlepoir. The Annexe is a ground floor apartment to the rear of the building and is set in a quiet residential area. The property is in the middle of Pentlepoir Village which has a Chinese Restaurant, shop/post office and also a garage. There is a regular bus service running through the village which is perfect for those seeking a walking holiday.
