Amroth Beach

Amroth Beach is where the Wales coast path reaches Pembrokeshire.  If you are traveling from Carmarthenshire then Amroth is the start of your journey into the Pembrokeshire coast national park but from the other direction it is a great finale to your visit to South West Wales. Either way this charming beach should be top of any visitors list when holidaying in Pembrokeshire. This long sandy beach is framed by a pebbled tide bank and is perfect for that lazy walk after a day in the sun. The beach is a haven for the meanderer, so when the tide is out let your toes wonder across the expansive golden sand under a glowing red sky.

Amroth is a picturesque seaside village where you can promenade through the cafes and restaurants which overlook the bay. It has good disabled access and all the facilities you might need are near by. For a quiet family getaway Amroth is a not too crowded and is close to Saundersfoot (4miles) or Tenby (8miles) if you feel like something a little bit busier. There is plenty to do in this area of South Pembrokeshire,  for the discerning wine drinker a trip to Cwm Deri is a good day out. It is a family run local vineyard with tasting days and bottles of welsh wine to take home.

Waters Edge is a charming place to stay. Great for the family it has cosy accommodation and wonderful views overlooking Carmarthen Bay. It is situated at the end of Amroth beach and can sleep up to four. Contrast the fantastic sea view with a visit to Colby Woodland Garden a National Trust gem where the children can run in an open meadow or make a den in a woodland corner.

A beach with hidden histories, at low tide you can sometimes see the remains of a forest at Amroth, fossilized stumps appear across the sand which hint to a very different life here before the sea levels rose after the Ice Age.
