St Florence

Located just outside of the popular seaside resort of Tenby, is the charming village of St Florence. This quaint village is set within the beautiful serene landscape of South West Wales, and features many charming cottages, including a number of medieval structures and a spectacular Norman Church. It has also been a previous winner of “Wales in Bloom” and is crammed with vivid colours of the Welsh countryside and full of ancient history.

Admire the pretty cottages, and see the remains of the archaic Flemish Chimneys that date back as far as the 16^th century. Attractions in their own right, the chimneys are the last of their kind remaining in the area, and are a distinguishing feature that enhances the historical character of the village.

After an afternoon stroll around the picturesque streets, quench your thirst with a drink in the “Sun Inn”, a family friendly pub situated within the village centre, providing a wide selection on food and beverages, all to be enjoyed within the pubs cosy and comfortable surroundings.

Just as close is Heatherton Activity Theme Park, which caters for all ages and abilities. There is something for everyone with a nice mix of family-based fun, with attractions such as Archery, Bumper Boats, Pistol Shooting, Adventure Golf and much much more on offer. Our adrenaline pumping activities range from Paintball and Go-Karting to High Ropes and Water Zorbing. If you fancy relaxing for the day why not have a round of golf on our challenging 18 hole pitch and putt or throw a line on our well stocked Coarse Fishing lake, while taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Heatherton is truly a magical place where families can try a multitude of different activities, which they would not usually get the opportunity to try. The Sports Park is a dog-friendly attraction, as Heatherton appreciate the importance of pets in family life. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and are not permitted in the main reception or restaurant facilities. Water is provided for dogs outside of main reception. For more thrills and excitement, take a trip to the nearby Dinosaur Park, and explore the history behind these fascinating creatures that once roamed the Earth.

For the romantic couple, take a drive through the scenic lanes that meander there way through the agricultural landscape, blossoming with wild flowers and rich golden fields, a relaxing drive can be a great way to discover the surprises that hide behind budding trees and flourishing hedges. There are a few striking beaches in this area, perfect for a late night walk across silky sands, however for another fabulous family day out,  pop across to Tenby, a thriving seaside resort crammed with history, gift shops, restaurants and a divine stretch of pure golden sand.
